Daniel Sandor

Overview

I have a 9-mo., 100% teaching appointment in the School of Plant and Environmental Sciences. The foundation of my program is to provide our students with the best educational resources and experiential-learning opportunities so they can be thoroughly prepared as highly-competitive, sought-after turfgrass professionals on a global scale. I also take great pride in my responsibilities toward recruiting prospective turfgrass science students and additional outreach efforts to Virginia's many high school turfgrass science programs. I am passionate about helping young people prepare for college and succeed during their time in higher education and beyond.

In addition to my teaching responsbilties I am actively engaged in our extension programming and outreach-education opportunities. I enjoy connecting with regional and state industry partners and organizations to help enhance the VT Turfgrass Science Program and to further serve and support these industries and member organizations.
